Gay McDcougall, Executive Director of International Human Rights Law Group, discusses issues around foreign subsidy, and draws attention to the need for people of all levels to understand right to challenge power.
Kavita Ramdas, President and CEO of the Global Fund for Women, differentiates between transnational and national movements, discussing their influence, and explains strategies adopted by Global Fund For Women emphasizing importance of local-level engagement.
Clash or Consensus? Gender and Human Security in a Globalized World was a conference convened by Women's Learning Partnership (WLP) and sponsored by the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at John Hopkins University to discuss improving human security through improving human rights in the Global South.
